A good friend of mine has her own cupcake business and I had the great opportunity to take some photographs for her. She does custom orders and her work truly speaks for itself. If you are in the Ottawa area and would be interested in making an order or would like some additional information, then please contact me 🙂 Enjoy 🙂
I have worked in an office setting for quite some time now. As I have to dress for my job (which is business attire) I do at times find it hard to be myself and dress to who I am, rather than what I do. One piece of clothing which I absolutely love are all my dozen blazers 🙂 I have every length, every style, and (almost) every color.
Working in an office – and being the youngest one at that – doesn’t leave much room to be creative when you are attending meetings and associating with important people. But I do find myself lucky enough to have those around me that really like and appreciate my sense of style at work.
I often pair my blazers with a dark dress pant, a solid color dress shirt and then add all my many blazers. If I am not wearing a blazer then I like to wear a lot of bold colored shirts, with lace, frills, bows – you name it! I do at times think that I can get away with my look because I dress my age – and as the years go by I know I will not be able to pull it off anymore without looking out-of-place in the sea of grey suits and black pencil skirts.
Below are a collection of photos found online that I love and would love to own 🙂 I take no credit for the photos and if they do belong to you please let me know and I will be happy to give you credit. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Does this have a ring of truth?!
My family and I changed our lives when we moved to Canada when I was a very young girl. My family of four was all I had known and would continue to know for a few years after. Not being able to speak any English, it was very hard to find friends, let alone someone to talk to. What did my parents do to help ease our loneliness?? They got us a cat!
Today looking back I can say that that cat really saved us and made us a more loving and involved family to each other and to others. The true value a pet can bring – whether it be a cat or dog, rabbit, bird fish, you name it – it unimaginable. An owner feels love for and from their pets. It eases a hard day and offers comfort in tough situations.
Many of my friends who are in relationships had gone out and gotten a dog or a cat. A pet in a relationship can have a different meaning to different people: it can signify a deeper committment, a test run for future children or go a different route and can be a way to overcome any shortcomings there may be in the relationship.
Every since that first cat was brought to my life, I had developed a strong desire to constantly have a pet in my life. I have had 2 more cats since that first one and I do not see myself without one today. I am happily married now (and had brought the family cat with me) and even in a loving relationship – I still feel a need for my little pet.
I do believe that bringing a pet into a relationship can be a very good thing. When your partner adopts your pet as their own, your love for both parties deepens. Animals are very sensitive creatures and in today’s world, we can all use a little sensitivity. When I see my husband play with our cat, pet her, kiss her, sleep around her when she climbs on the bed with us – my connection to him deepens. I see how he cherishes and takes care of an animal which in turn only makes me wonder how great of a father he will be one day.
Love is a truly important thing in life. Everyone should feel blessed to love and be loved. It may not be enough on its own, but definitely makes everything a little bit more sweeter. And add-on a cuddly creature to the mix and I think you are on the right path to a truly genuine, happy life.
I am now back from a wonderful week of vacation. Being on the beach, in the sun and by the water, I always wonder what to do with my hair. I have fairly long hair and most often than not I keep it up. But as I strolled along the beach side, I had noticed a nice trend that was happening in regards to hair styles – braids!
I personally love braids. And being Polish, the “crown braid” is a popular look for young girls so I often had my hair that way. But today the braid has taken a unique twist – pun intended 🙂 I love searching online for new hair style options and have collected a few sample I love to share with you all.
If you feel like trying out any of these styles, I would love if you could send a picture and let me know how it went. I admit, I find a few quite challenging, especially to do them on yourself 🙂
I just wanted to leave a little note to let you all know I am going on vacation, returning February 16th 🙂 I am super excited to have this time in the sun! My hubsy and I are going to Santa Maria, Cuba! It will be my 2nd time in Cuba and I loved it before and am hoping to have a great time again 🙂
Below is a picture of the resort we will be staying at that I found online. Upon my return, I will have many photos pf my very own to share. Hope everyone has a great week and will be back here in a weeks time 🙂
I love to take pictures! I may not be a professional photographer but nonetheless I take all the pictures I can, wherever I go. One things that I cam guilty of however, is not fully displaying all those photos that I had taken. While the digital world is amazing for photography advancement, it tends to make you less motivated to do prints, albums or canvas.
I love searching things online, to gain inspiration and ideas on every aspect of life. One of these inspirations was on how you can display these photos that we all take. Below are a few of my selection from the web. hopefully some will inspire you to showcase some of those eye-catching photos 🙂
I would like to introduce my little furbaby – Juba (aka Jubie:)) I had her since she was a newborn and she has been with me since. When I received my news lens I knew I wanted to take a few shots of her – I realized that I don’t have that many which isn’t right!! Here are a couple of my favourite.
